Delbert's a Texan, but I think his style fits in with Swamp Pop, as do the Subdudes.

ETA: I should mention that learned these songs listening to KBON and the university stations.

This isn't Kafka's swamp pop, but this is a good band that's close enough. They're from upsate NY, but were asked to play a lot of festivals in Louisiana.
