What can I say? The TX country scene is a small world!

I also haven't paid for a ticket to a show in at least 3 years so I can't complain. :)

Deal!

I'm preeeetty excited for ACL this year because Randy Rogers is playing. In the 6 years I've lived in Austin, I'm undefeated in scoring free tickets, and all but the first year have been all-access. Needless to say, I'm spoiled.

Anyway, as I've mentioned before, Randy's tour manager Kyle is one of my closest friends. I've already asked him to put me on the list and he said I was up for consideration.

Sorry

I made it my goal to spread the Sheepdog love as muchas I possibly could when I heard then late last year sometime. I know for a fact they were the first band I mentioned on the music board right when it opened.

Can not wait for their first studio album to drop.

No doubt!

I was also the one who hooked you up w/ Middle Brother when you couldn't remember who the collaboration band was?

Anyway, as mentioned above there are some fantastic suggestions in this thread.

I need to re-visit several of them myself.

Cory Branan's mutt:

quote:

Cory Branan has spent the better part of the past six years since the release of 12 Songs, with a guitar slung over his shoulder, humping it from town to town– classic troubadour style. Now, after racking up more miles than even Greyhound will allow on an ol’ dog, Cory is back with a new collection of stories. Mutt reflects the combination of sounds from Branan’s many homes, Mississippi, Memphis, now Nashville, and of course, every other town with a Waffle House he’s played. Mutt boasts guest appearances by Luther Dickenson, Jon Snodgrass, and Amanda Shires, among others. All told, if Mutt is a rock and roll reflection of American stories laid out before us, things ain’t that bad.

Post your emails and I'll send you the whole album.
