There are some lots right next to saenger on rampart that are safe to walk to. I've used them for every show without problem. It's a big 3 story lot but they pack them in tight if you have a big car.
For drinks you could hit the sazerac bar at the Roosevelt. It's close enough to walk to.

The Roosevelt Hotel is just a few blocks away and has the Sazerac Bar inside. Also, Domenica is inside the Roosevelt and has a nice bar where you can also order food.

There's a decent garage next to the Orpheum (across from the Roosevelt) that we usually park in. Trucks and SUVs welcome.
