Southport Music Hall - How is This Venue?

I saw where Helmet is playing there October 2nd. How is it? Good seating, or is primarily standing room?

It’s a good place to see a show but hard to get around if it’s packed like it was for Down a month ago. Mostly standing only. For Helmet it should be fine. I think they have a VIP area now but not sure if any seats. It’s mostly standing room only. Back in the old days it was a mob run casino.

Exactly what I needed to know, much appreciated. I'm getting too old to stand up for hours at a time, so I think I'll pass on this one

You can pay extra for a table but otherwise there's no seats. Best thing about it is that it's not in town, so you don't have to deal with too much traffic. Plus it's free parking. I don't think many people will be at that show as it's the same night as Lorna Shore.
