Sounds like we'll be waiting a while for a new Tool album

Well yeah he just made some extra money with the tour, now he can put off the album again until next year.
A new APC album would be nice though. We'll probably get 3 more Puscifer albums before either of those albums

Tool is my all time "I loved them in college" band. Nothing against them per se but definitely outgrew. Kind of surprised they are still together honestly.

I'd like to think this is the band being intentionally misleading about the album. Could also be that they are still having legal problems.

I had not listened to them in a very long time, but kinda picked it up again, listened to some of the stuff I had never gotten around to, and saw them in January, and I've been on a hardcore Tool kick ever since

While I agree it is difficult to tell with Maynard, he and TOOL are freaking NOTORIOUS for hardcore fricking with fans and the press on April 1st (and they have done things in the past the weeks leading up to it)
I'm almost positive this is a bait and switch, I wouldn't be surprised if April 1st comes around and they actually release "Descending" and an official release date. Hell, with TOOL they could drop the album that day, they do some crazy shite every year on Fools' Day.

If they're as awesome as the last Puscifer album was, that's not such a bad thing.
And yeah, Maynard is more than likely trolling.
