Through Glass by Stone Sour

The song was released in 2006 but for some reason I thought it was mid to late 90’s.

*You Only Get What You Give". - New Radicals

When I first heard it back in '97ish, I thought it was a missing Todd Rundgren/Utopia song from the 80s.

Good tune regardless.

When I heard “The Promise” by When in Rome around 2010, I thought it was a contemporary song.

It Ain’t Over by Lenny Kravitz. Came out in 1991 and I remember hearing it for the first time and assuming it was an old 70’s Philadelphia soul song.

Would have never guessed this was from 1989 (Late 90s sound)

The first time I heard "One Of These Days" by Pink Floyd I thought it was at least 20 years ahead of its time.

Funny thing. I'd probably think the same thing if I heard it for the first time today.

What a great song to listen to on the highway, or through a great set of speakers.

I Won't Hurt You by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band.

I thought it was a modern indie rock song.

“Little Talks” by of Monsters and Men: I thought that was an adult alternative song from the mid 90’s.

I thought the Black Crowes were from the 70’s the first time I heard them.

I thought “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles was just a cover of a song from the late 60’s.

“Gold on the Ceiling” by the Black Keys. Came out in 2011, could have sworn it was an old 70’s classic rock jam when I first heard it.

The Ceasars ... Jerk it out

Released 2002 but sounds like a 60's song.
