I'm not sure if "solid country gold" is a particular genre of country music that I'm not familiar with, but these two songs have been running through my head like crazy lately. That's a big deal seeing as how country isn't exactly on my playlist any more

Good songs so far, but in my definition, 80s and 90s is not the solid gold era.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that.

In my book, the late 80's to mid 90's was the golden era of country music. In my opinion, it wasn't better before and hasn't been as good since. I guess it's just depends on your tastes

So Hank, Hank Jr, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, George Jones, and Lefty were not as good as George Straight and Garth Brooks?
