They had lengthy weather delays both days, which wasn't Sloss's fault. A lot fo reports from people there though that the messaging from the organizers was inaccurate and not forthcoming. People were confused on if the day's events had been cancelled or just postponed. When they re-opened the gates Saturday, the bands started playing soon after while a lot of people were standing in line to get in.
This after pretty slow tickets sales, in a city that has a pretty strong walk-up crowd. I'd imagine they missed their target for tickets sales, and I heard they barely sold any of the VIP tickets.
This is their third year, and they've had logistics problems every year, all caused by weather. First year was hot as Hades(duh, it's Alabama in July) and the first day they only had water for sale at like $5 a bottle. They added free water stations the next day. Last year they also had rain, and it just made a complete mess of the venue, and it didn't appear they had any type of contingency plans in place to deal with these issues.
I bet Back 40 crushed it all weekend though.

It was a shite show.
Yesterday they went on weather delay at 3:30 didn’t come back til 9:30 and announced the revised lineup 20 minutes before.
Glad I didn’t pay for that shite. Happened to be a mile down the road when St Paul announced they would play a free show at 11. Started at midnight and they jammed til 1:30ish. They were freaking awesome. All the poor souls that stayed for Stapleton got locked out because the venue was full by then.
