Jimmy Page, without hesitation.

I came here to post this. Slash is better technically imo. Page is a little more sloppy but at the same time he has more soul. I think Page is more authentic.

Therefore, my choice is Page.

Wow...even entertaining the idea of slash over jimmy effin page is like picking Justin Bieber over Elvis Presley.

This cannot be over emphasized. I have nothing against Slash and I think he's a fine guitarist, but anyone who would pick him over Page has not the slightest bit of sense of any sort. Page is in the running for GOAT, something Slash will never be in the conversation for.

Not in any shape or form is that a valid statement. Look at all the singles and albums Page played on as a session player before he joined the Yardbirds. It's a stunning list.

Or just listen to the layers upon layers of technically stunning work on so many Zep classics. Slash couldn't come up with something like The Battle Of Evermore to save his life.

Can you imagine a Slash produced 'Achilles Last Stand'?

Slash ripped off Marc Bolan´s Slider hat look, and some riffs. Well, many people did (the riff part), but that´s not the point here, is it?

Jimmy Page is a beast. Slash is very good.

ETA David Bowie´s career took off, based upon Bolan, hence his caring financially for his son.

That is all your opinion.

This is like asking if you'd rather eat a steak from Applebees or a steak from Ruth's Chris.

I don't even think Slash would pick Slash over Paige.

Jimmy. Without Jimmy, there is no Slash.

That is so true, and when you look at Page's body of work, hard to top. People forget that besides Zeppelin and The Yardbirds, he was known as a great session guitarist, so who knows exactly how many timeless recordings he was involved with.
Slash may be a fine guitarist, but you cannot refer to him as a living legend.
