Was looking for some video of Slash and Myles Kennedy together after seeing the GNR performance at the Rock Hall of Fame induction. Came across this video of Slash bending the shite out of some strings on an Acoustic. I have some new found respect for Slash.

Yo, Sweet Child O Mine does not work as an acoustic song. I thought it sounded terrible.

he played guitar on a bunch of songs, with guest singer singing lead. it's got a few good songs. worth a listen if you like slash's riffs

I liked most of this album... It wasn't ground-breaking, but was fairly solid.
The songs with Ozzy and Iggy were really good.

You know how hard that is to play on an acoustic? I thought it was amazing.

Let's see him try and do that on a Taylor with some thick gauge strings. It's a good performance, don't get me wrong, but the ONLY way you could bend strings on an acoustic like that is with super small gauged strings

True. I'm sure they had to change the strings after this performance. They were super thin.

I sure do, I've done it

Meh. Is it more difficult to play on acoustic than electric? Yes. Amazingly impossible? No.
Regardless of how "difficult" it is to play on an acoustic, the song just doesn't lend very well to an acoustic interpretation imo. I wouldn't buy the song, but if you like it

The Slash solo album was pretty darn good I thought. And IMO, Slash is just one of the top guitarists to ever play.....no big deal.

Yep. Or switched guitars. That's why his chords don't sound as full as Myles'
