I'm seeing Tame Impala tonight in Asheville. Anyone seen them live? Do they put on a good show?

They're playing at the Cellular Center. I feel like they'd be better in an outdoor environment, but still excited about the concert nonetheless.

They put on a great live show. Cellular center isn’t the best venue for sound but has good sight lines.

Yes. Saw them at the Civic in NOLA several years ago.

I didn't think they could pull off their stuff live, but it was great. IMO, they would be better indoors due to the type of music they play.

Definitely exceeded my expectations, would see them again and again.

It was a good, not great show. They sounded good and played some I definitely wanted to hear (Mind mischief, Less I know, It is not meant to be, Feels like we're going backward). The light show was good.

However, their stage presence leaves something to be desired. My biggest complaint was the length of the show. They played straight through and two songs on the encore. I believe the total concert was right around 95 minutes.

I'm not advocating for a 3+hour WSP jam, but come on... 90-95 minutes is weak. Especially given their ticket prices.

It was pretty great at shaky knees. Cage the Elephant were the best performers but, Tame Impala was a trip and sounded amazing live.

Saw them at Shaky Knees - Tame Impala was the best headliner by a mile (vs Beck and Cage the Elephant).

Loved Tame, but nothing was beating Cage. An amazing performance with heavy rain adding to the atmosphere made it so much better. Although I'd put Tame at second

The eye lasers during "Elephant" were cool as hell but, yeah Cage the Elephant was the best imo as well. "Cigarette Daydreams" was awesome in the rain.

Agree to disagree. But I've also seen Cage a good bit more than I've seen Tame Impala so that might've been part of it for me. I enjoyed Cage's set in '17 more than this past weekend's.

Bump! Saw 'em in Irving tonight. Best visuals I've seen in a long time. Sound mix was excellent too. Volume was cranked. Setlist had very little chaff and did clock in a little short (90 minutes exactly for us), but a great show all around.

I was there too - thought it was an oustanding show. Agree on the duration, but it was a school night so I wasn't too upset about it.
