along with Bush, Deftones, AWOLNATION, Paramore and a bunch of good indie bands. Really like Phoenix's new album and they put on a great show however Bush played before them and half the crowd left when Bush finished, does Dallas just have bad taste in music? I mean, I loved Sixteen Stone as much as anyone but Phoenix is great. Fun fact: their lead singer used to be in a band with the two guys from Daft Punk called Darlin. They broke up and formed the two bands they are in now.
Also Deftones fricking rocked as usual, never get tired of seeing them live.

I can see how people that went to see the aforementioned bands not being into Phoenix...

Man, that's actually a pretty damn good modern rock lineup.

I saw Phoenix at bonnaroo in 2010, they were awesome

I've been meaning to get around to their new album, any songs in particular I should listen to first?

Trying To Be Cool and Chloroform are my two favorite songs on the new one.

The new album is alright. It isn't their best work in my opinion. Off the top of my head, I like: The real thing, Trying to be cool, Chloroform, Don't, and Bourgeois. I'm not a big fan of Entertainment.

What do you think?

I'm pretty sure that is the guitarist and not Thomas Mars. I'm not 100% positive on that though.
If you want another fun fact, the singer (Thomas Mars) is married to Sofia Coppola (daughter of Francis Ford Coppola). She directed The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation .
