After laying low for a few years, his "Big Colors" album is set to be released June 11.

I know this board is kind of mixed on him, but he's probably my all time favorite artist.

IIRC he had three albums set to come out when he got (rightfully.. if the reports were true) Me-Too'd. I remember having pre-ordered the album when iTunes emailed me and told me the release was cancelled.

I’m very nostalgic over Ryan. Loved all the Whiskeytown albums, The Cardinals stuff and his solo albums up through Jacksonville City Nights. I’m always so hopeful when I hear a new album is coming out but it seems like everything he’s come out with since sounds like someone strumming and making shite up in their bedroom. It’s unfortunate he’s watered down his discography with songs/albums that should have never been recorded.

All of that being said I’m still hoping this album is great.

I thought the album he released just before he got metoo'd was one of his best ones since Cold Roses. I enjoyed his cover album of Taylor Swift's 1989 as well.

Has he taken any accountability for what he was accused of?

One of my favorite artists ever, very curious how new album will be. Hope he gets away from the soft voiced, nearly falsetto pitched acoustic garbage. An electric live album from him would be awesome but they’re always acoustic

That’s what I was referring to. It’s like he’s waiting on his girlfriend to get out of the bathroom so they can leave to go out to eat. So he picks up a guitar and sings along some bull dookie lyrics.
