Love this LP. Almost ended their career though. 2112 saved it.

Great album. Bastille Day is in my top ten Rush songs. The live version on All The World is kick arse.

Hell yes a great album but it seems you really have to be a huge Rush fan to appreciate it.

Probably my least favorite record by Rush until the new wave keyboard stuff( Signals and beyond). I much prefer Kings. Hemispheres and Waves. Maybe I need to revisit Caress of Steel to refresh my memory.

70's Rush discography is such an interesting trajectory. They were constantly evolving, with all roads leading to the commercial success of Moving Pictures.

I see the lps grouped in pairs like this: There's no 2112 without COS; No Hemispheres without FTK; no Moving Pictures without Permanent Waves. Each stage of development lead to a new plateau. Moving Pictures is probably one of my least favorite of all of these.

"I think we were pretty high when we made a lot of that record."
- Geddy Lee, from Beyond the Lighted Stage

Bastille Day is still one of my faves.
