It's not much of a secret that Eric Clapton filled in as a session musician on Roger Waters' Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking album.

But Clapton was the one who urged Waters to tour the album and joined him on the 1984 leg of the tour. As a result Clapton was charged with playing lead guitar on several Pink Floyd tunes as well. The Roger Waters/Clapton pairing was an interesting one, and one that suited Clapton just fine at the time as he apparently wanted out of the spotlight for a time.

Here's Clapton and Waters together live performing Money and a slightly lesser known PF song - If, from the Atom Heart Mother album. You'll need to listen to it in the context of the mid 80's of course.

The best appearance by a guest artist on that album is Jack Palance.
