WOW!!!!!!!!
I have seen A LOT of concerts....and visually this one took the cake! Opening song was amazing and set the stage for what was to come. The sound was amazing, with speakers in every corner of the arena.
One of the highlights was when they did Brick in the Wall, and had a group of kids come up on stage and dance/sing along. After the song Roger greeted everyone in Houston, and then called out the promoter for not having kids to help with the performance. Supposedly they are supposed to have a group of kids to help, and they had to find some last minute, they got some from a local lady that does volunteer work with meals for kids, and it was some of the kids she gives meals to...adding a little something to the show.
Even the wife loved the show, more the first part, because it gets a little weird in the 2nd half, especially the ending, but she enjoyed the visual performance.
Really glad that we went, and I highly suggest you go if given the opportunity.

Awesome, I saw it last time as well. The visuals as well as the building and tearing down of the Wall was outstanding.
I never really understood the whole he turns into a fascist dictator part, but oh well
The trial part is pretty cool.
The part with the kids, they obviously piped in the singing, it sounded like the album, I wonder if they were supposed to have kids sing or just be a part of the show?

By no means am I expecting this to be the same without Gilmour, but it isn't as if this will ruin the show for me.
I'm still hearing romors floating around that Gilmour might hit the stage with Waters at some point on this tour.
My dad brought it up to me on the phone last night.
PS thank you for coming back to let us know, and give us a couple pics. Not too much to give it away for those of us set to see it later, but enough to give an idea.

You guys know what Dale Earnhardt and Roger Waters share?
The wall was their last big hit.

You guys are pitiful, Waters no Gilmor on a record, OK, I can see that, but this is a show, a spectacular one at that, passing because Gilmor is not there is really missing out for no real reason.

weeeell, I've actually seen gilmour in concert before, so i think I'm ok. and secondly, frick waters. yeah i respect the hell outta him and he's made pink floyd who they are, but he's the reason they broke up and had so much tension in the past. he never could get over syd being replaced and held a grudge like a little bitch.

as have I, but he didn't do The Wall like this.
In 2008 Waters did a tour where he played DSOTM all the way thru, like Pink Floyd did without him back in 94. Not interested in seeing Waters do that, plus tracks like WYWH without Gilmor? I can see that, but this was different and something Gilmor would never do or have interest in doing, so why pass up on it just cause a guy who played on the record back in 79 wasn't there?

what are you Gilmor's mom?
And the band didn't break up, Waters left. I think they had a lengthy legal battle over that. I would have liked to see the whole band, but never had the chance, so I saw Floyd with out Waters and Waters without Floyd instead, both put on great, similar shows.

It kills me that Waters never brought the show to NOLA. Seriously pisses me off.
