One of my buddies is an Emmy winning recording engineer here in Los Angeles. He has recorded tons of top artists over the years, including many of the Oscar nominated Disney songs. I asked him once who had the best pure voice of anyone he ever recorded. His answer: James Ingram.

He had the perfect voice. JUST ONCE , the emotion in his voice, absolutely amazing . RIP.
