RIP

(Centerfold was briefly my favorite song - immediately prior to Photograph by Def Leppard taking the title forever.)

RIP. The J Geils band put on one of the best shows I've ever seen in the early 80's in the Centroplex. It was when security was clamping down after a teenager OD and they stopped booking concerts shortly after. But Peter Wolf was really the driving force then and nearly caused a riot, telling everyone to stand up while security was trying to force everyone to stay seated. J Geils was riding high at the time with Centerfold as a #1 hit. But I liked their earlier stuff better. Give It To Me and their Bloodshot album especially.

Their live album Full House is a mainstay in the rotation. I'd put it on now but it rocks to hard for me to sleep. Will play it tomorrow morning at work.

Glad I got to see him at lockn before he died

Agree re Full House. I loved the band but it was odd that the namesake of the group was not the "star." Group really centered around Wolf and to a lesser extent, the harp player, Magic Dick. Saw them at The Warehouse. Amazing live band.
