Prayers go out to the family of Blackberry Smoke's drummer and co-founder Brit Turner. Succumbed to cancer yesterday.

RIP Brit. Great drummer. I got to meet him once and he was very nice and down to earth.
If your not familiar with their music I would highly recommend, and they put on really good live show.

Saw the Turners play with Nihilist back in the day. Too young. RIP.

Saw them live at the old Border Bash that used to be on the Friday night in Augusta Ga before the Georgia-South Carolina game and they were really good. RIP Brit

This was awful news this past week. The Turner family has been through so much. His little girl had cancer and she beat it. Then he falls out with a heart attack in the middle of a show. They run tests on him and find out he has a tumor and brain cancer. He didn’t beat it.
My heart goes out to his family and his band. They are still playing shows but you gotta think it’s hard for them to keep going right now as well.
