Ross, in two attempts to defend himself, demonstrated that he doesn't understand the meaning of the term "rape." Women's rights groups protested Reebok's flagship office in New York in response.
Rocko has since cut the controversial rhyme from "U.O.E.N.O."

Maybe this isn't the thread, but can someone explain to me the appeal of today's rap music? Not all of it is this bad, but the majority of what I hear people listening to is absolute garbage. Is it something about the beats that make people not listen to the lyrics?

The mainstream is what most people listen to. I know there is good rap out there and I listen to some of it. Rick Ross' fat arse isn't part of that, though.

Rick Ross is by no means the best rapper right now. I listen to some of his stuff every now and then because it is entertaining to me. But I wouldn't be upset if he gave it up or disappeared for a while. Rappers become a liability once you start paying them to promote your gear... this latest lyric is only one of the many (could be taken as) offensive lyrics he has.
