Ampeg 115 combo amp. It’s 200 watts. One 15 inch speaker.

Small enough to play in your living room but big enough to put on a small stage and still push some air.

Yeah you don't want some 25 or 50w job if you're jamming with others. Look at 100W.
It's literally to be played along with one piano inside a house.

I need a starter bass sin the $200 range. Is the Ibanez one of the better options in this price range?

Yeah when you say stuff like this it makes me think you're relatively new to bass. A 25 or 50W bass Amp can be hard to hear alongside an acoustic guitar player who is going to town. Much less a grand piano. If you've you've someone who's playing electric keys then of course you have a different situation.

I've got an Ampeg B100 practice Amp. Plenty of volume for dicking around in sessions such as you describe.

The price ane weight difference is negligible, why risk not having enough juice?

How is it? I really liked my small cab I got. Perfect for at home practice. I just need a smaller amp. I have come close to blowing the thing out with my MESA. It says it can handle 400W at 8 ohm, but it pushes too hard. I will probably pick up a low power head somewhere used.

I was really surprised at the amount of bass those little speakers can kick out.

The Ibanez is probably good starter bass for the price. It most likely won’t sound that good, but it’s just to start.

If you could go a little higher, these are great at the price point:
Sterling by MM HH. On sale for 8 hours. Great deal.
