Hopefully Fry, Holmes, and Bonch are available for an opening set.

Eclipse has signed a temporary contract, pending the availability of Cheetah...

His bass playing is simply incredible. Eclipse minus Cheetah is the equivalent of the Bulls from the 1990's minus Jordan.

Rate This Debut Album - Zebra 1983
One of the best debut albums ever. A real fricking classic.
The whole band, not just Randy, is extraordinarily talented. Hanemann is a hell of a multi-instrumentalist and Guy Gelso is a beast to behold on his kit. I've only seen them play on DVD but Guy is the one that really blew me away.
I don't know if Netfix has it on it's streaming side but the DVD company has a Zebra documentary that features them going in depth about their history and shows them playing a killer set at HOB in New Orleans. I'm sure Amazon would have it too.

The third album, 3.V, is fantastic--start to finish.

seen them at Bullwinkle's in Thibodaux a few times in the mid 90's, good shows, they were loud, I remember my ears ringing the next morning

They were always notoriously loud--I couldn't hear for an hour after every show!

Thanks for posting the link.
I just heard The La La Song on the radio a few days ago. I hear Who's Behind The Door and Tell Me What You Want ocassionally, but I don't think I'd heard The La La Song in about 30 years.
I used to see Zebra at St. Christopher's gym (mid to late 70s) when they were almost strictly a Led Zeppelin cover band - which was fine with me! By the time I was in college, they were doing their own material, but also still playing covers.

Would rate it highly. If you lived in NOLA in 82/83 the excitement around Zebra and the release of this album was huge. Great album.

Any of you guys see Zebra when Guy was dealing with his illness and that chick BJ played drums? I thought she did a pretty good job. And she was kind of cute so, that helped.

Graduated from high school in 1983. Literally wore out the cassette tape on our senior trip.

LOL i remember when the live album came out. I was still buying vinyl at the time. The guy at the record store said "nope we only have that on cassette'. seems like a lifetime ago.

I was spinning some vinyl last night and came across this album. Oh yea, it went on and the old 1976 Sansui was rattling the windows!!!
