Don't doubt it. There was a time for like 3-4 years the dude recorded 1-2 songs a day.

Makes sense. Some of the albums he released had 30 songs on them. There were some years he released 2-3 albums with 20+ songs on each. Check the dude's wiki, it's nuts. I can't imagine being THAT creative. Genius is the only word that can be used.

I get it. Does that make me old?

At least this vault delivered.

This guy was just a superhuman. Like how'd he find the time to do all this? I've also heard about a hundred or so instances where the guy would go 5 days or an entire week without sleeping because he was so productive. Only geniuses do that shite.

Prince was an underappreciated genius. Maybe that will change now that he has passed on.

Lenny Kravitz confirmed this. He said Prince would call him at 3 in the morning to come listen to some stuff he'd been working on and Lenny would end up being there for 12 hours. Lenny said he's falling asleep and Prince is wide awake and writing music.

Maybe his legacy will change, unfortunate it took his death for that to happen but in spite of all his major success he's remained a cult figure. Only special artists/bands claim that but his legacy was always sold short when everyone posts a question regarding the greatest artist of all-time. I feel Prince is arguably the greatest rock musician, tied with The Beatles and Michael Jackson for greatest of all-time and a pioneer for funk. The whole package.

The news of Prince's vault being opened comes as his sister,Tyka Nelson, claimed earlier this week that the singer had no will or trust, according to paperwork she filed in Minneapolis.

This might complicate matters.

I think his intent was for them to have a ton of new stuff for them to release after he died. He probably has at least 100 music videos in the vault of songs that were never released.

Trying not to be disrespectful but how many people were listening to Prince's new stuff for last 20 years or so?

Maybe he intentionally od'd to boost his career again.

Pure genius.

Reminds me of the SNL skit where they were trying to talk a washed up singer to kill himself to boost record sales.
