Delbert gave harmonica tips to John.

Delbert and Paul apparently switched jackets

I've wondered about this pic: Was this the last time The Beatles wore their leather jackets on stage? Brian Epstein eventually got them into suits, but as late as Summer '62 they're still wearing leather here.

Takes me back to Sir Mick's induction speech into R&RHOF - "John, Paul, George and Ringo...John, Paul, George and Ringo"

Mud Boy and the Neutrons
Lee Baker, Jim Crosthwait, Jim Dickinson, Sid Selvidge

A legendary Memphis band who for many years only played one show a year, on Halloween.

That picture closed the shows for final No Filter US tour. Hard to believe he is gone. RIP king of the Gretsch kit.

That's in S LA

I've always understood that Hawkins was from N LA. His cousin was the late Ronnie Hawkins of Arkansas. Lead guitar on "Suzy-Q" is played by Shreveport's James Burton, so I figger they hooked up in N LA somehow (N LA had a notable honky tonk/rockabilly scene at the time, centered around the LA Hayride)

Long long ago I read that Hawkins was from "Goldmine" (one word) LA, and IIRC the implication was he was from N LA. Perhaps it was some tiny, microscopic rural community that has practically vanished today and is often left off maps -- such as Mound LA (pop: 12) in Madison Parish, which happens to be the birthplace of legendary Wrecking Crew bassist Joe Osborn.

In any event, I'm still confused

My source was google maps, and nothing else. Sorry for any confusion.
