Damn thats good. Saw him do some acoustic cover before but this proves he has some chops. Sad he hides behind that autotuned shite to make his money.

The steel player was really good. It says he used Dwight Yoakam’s band and it was produced by Matthew McConaughey- wonder what was behind all that? Bottom line, great result on a song Sturgill became too pretentious to perform live any more.

MM had an online benefit show to raise money for Texans impacted by the big freeze. He had several Texas artists take part (Strait, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Willie). Then he had Post Malone show up with Dwight's band. They apparently covered Brad Paisley's Fishin' Song earlier in the show, and then covered Sturgill as the credits rolled.

Saving Country Music did a little write up on it a couple of days ago.

He takes a lot of shite by the way he looks, but if you hear his music or him on an interview he’s a very smart and grounded guy.

He had a normal upbringing in suburban Dallas and recently moved to Utah to get away from the Hollywood crowd.

Hard not to like him

I may be a little more invested in the guy than others, but he took an ENORMOUS amount of grief for how ugly he was well before the face tattoos. Pretty self explanatory that he went nuts with it from insecurities. Regardless, he's immensely talented. And seems to have a heart of pure gold. So I will always root heavy for him

Always thought he was autotuned and the voice tremolo was synth. Guess I was wrong! Good job Post!

Saw that the other day.

The only thing I've ever heard him do that didn't suck to the highest power.

Cool cover - not familiar with all of his stuff, but he seems like a cool dude.

Pretty damn good, that's a hell of a band too...
This is the kind of music I want on my radio, just leave out unneeded profanity.

I take Shawn Mendes's bodyguard and head of security fishing about once a month. He is very well connected with some of these guys. He works with a lot of them on contract. Pearl Jam, Post, Zac Brown,Shawn, Kings of Leon, Manson, etc. My young son likes Post Malone. I had never even heard of him. He told me that Malone looks like a odd dude and a lot of his antics with his show is stupid but he supposedly a solid guy with some actual good skills.

Had a lot of good things to say about him

Dude always has some great stories.
