A dummy-proof aggregated list I've meticulously kept throughout the years.

ratings from fricking who?
Teh wall has far, far outsold the other albums you mentioned, which I would think would be a better "numbers don't lie" indicator than whatever bcs type rating formula you've dug up.

FWIW, Dark Side of the Moon is the best selling Pink Floyd album.
Even though record sales /=/ record quality

yeah no shite. The "other albums" I was referring to are AHM, meddle, and ummagumma that you said were all better than the wall.

I'd call about 5 of those 'good' albums.

I posted the meticulous aggregated list and proved you wrong.
Next question?

those other albums are irrelevant. a band's top selling album is usually the best. in this case it's second or third best the consumer decides what is good and what's not. i mean no offense but you said anders put out "strong lyrics" and "powerful vocals" in his albums.

bad list by a guy with bad taste

you didn't prove me wrong about anything. And that list is an aggregate of what, exactly?
People who listen to pink floyd, ya know..the fans who actually go out and buy the records, bought a metric frick ton more of The Wall than those other 3.

the consumer decides what which album is good, not some random internet loser
Posted on 12/4/14 at 5:04 pm to DrunkTigerBaiter
the consumer isn't always right

This isn't orientation for a summer job as a customer service attendant at Winn Dixie. The consumer isn't always right, and a lot of the times is downright wrong.

of course. Some floyd fans may like the frickin division bell better than any other album. To each his own. But heady didn't say "in my personal opinion, I prefer x to y". He said that meddle et al were "far and away better" albums than the wall.
It would be like having a taste test convention for people who like a certain food, let's say chili. You have 1,000 people there, and each person is given a taste taste of 2 kinds of chili, then they get to pick one of those 2 chilis to take a bowl home with them. If like 900 of those 1000 people pick the same chili, it's a pretty foregone conclusion that that one is by and large better than the other.

This exact concept is reflected on in my meticulous aggregated ratings and once again Meddle is the clear winner.
