I like that. I'd prob substitute Another Brick in the Wall for Poles Apart or On the turning away. Two of my favorite solos.

I think High Hopes would fit better toward the end.

Very nice, but I would have to hear Fat Old Sun. The Live version at Gdansk is truly epic.

That is why I picked a few of the songs I did. High Hopes is a great live song. Same with the way I closed out the first set with Pigs. That ending solo is awesome live.

Open the second portion easy with Marooned then go into Echoes from there.

I would possibly end with Sorrow but run like hell gives a lot of reasons to end with the light show that typically goes with it. I love live music. Go see a lot of local bands here in north Ga. Always have loved live music. I know they are a tribute band but last year, Brit Floyd put Sorrow in their set list and it was truly one of the best live songs I have ever heard. It was fantastic

I've got my songs picked out and arranged into 2 sets and an encore. But I'm struggling to find a good order for everything. I'll post my list when I get that sorted.

Still not completely in love with the second set but I like set 1. Set 1 is pre-DSOM and set 2 is DSOM and later. Originally I wasn't going to split it up like that but couldn't come up with a good way to intermingle the two eras. Anyway, for better or worse here it is. Fun game!

Set 1
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
Interstellar Overdrive
San Tropez
One of These Days
Astronomy Domine
Free Four
Careful with That Axe, Eugene
Wot's...Uh the Deal
Echoes

Set 2
Shine On You Crazy Diamond, I-V
Breathe
Dogs
Nobody Home
Us and Them
Welcome to the Machine
Hey You
Pigs (Three Different Ones)
Wish You Were Here
Sheep
Run Like Hell
Shine On You Crazy Diamond, VI-IX

Encore
Time
The Great Gig in the Sky
Comfortably Numb

I didnt want to break up TDSOTM. Seems like it needs to be together.

I have to admit, I am not a big of a fan of the pre DSOTM stuff other than Meddle for live music. I like to listen to some of the older stuff but for live music, I like the later stuff better

Astronomy Domine is a great live song though...

Only allowed 24 songs. No way to get all the greats in there. I also left out "Wish You were Here" which is probably one of Floyds most popular songs. I like the song but hate it Live. For some reason, every fan in the stands think they are singers and ruin the performance

What two songs on my list would you cut to add those two?

I don't think it's a bad list, but I can't imagine how you would rack up 24 tracks and not find room for the title track to WYWH.

Also, 4 from Division Bell and 6 from The Wall seems too many, particularly with 1 from MLOR and nothing from The Final Cut. I get that TFC is polarizing, but for completeness you almost have to find room for either The Gunner's Dream or Fletcher (maybe Not Now John, if that's your bag). It's better than snobbish, Roger-hating (<- of whom I am one) Floyd fans like to make it out to be.

And Comfortably Numb almost has to be the final song.

I didn't really want to include it either but figured there would be a riot if I didn't.

I thought about making Shine On a single, shortened version of the song and then adding The Gunner's Dream in its place. I'm kind of the opposite of Lanier. I don't care for MLOR or Division Bell. But you're right that TFC is better than it gets credit for. It's been forever since I've listened to that album and I should really reacquaint myself with it.

Yeah, that was the first song I put in order and worked backwards from there.

Your turn Ace. Now you gotta do one.

I explained why I didnt add it. Its not a great Live song due to the crowds.

I dont totally dislike TFC. I like a few of the songs but none of them are top to me. I actually wouldn't put one of the songs on the final cut in my top 50 Floyd songs. Nothing musically great in there to me. Just Rogers rage.

Comfortably Numb is the final song a lot and I do love the concert (extended) version but changing things up by closing with Sorrow and/or Run like Hell is fun too. Typically Run like Hell has a great light display going which is good to close things down.
