Saw him in the late 1990s in Dothan Alabama. They had a big music festival downtown, well, big for Dothan. Frampton, Chely Wright, The Gap Band, and a few others but those are the ones I remember. To go from being a big international star to playing a spring music gig in south Alabama.

In his book Frampton said he was told Paul McCartney would be in the movie so he signed on. Didn't happen.

Had a side gig tending bar at the Tower Theater on Westheimer in Houston, in the summer of 1994. Got to see him and Robin Trower do sound checks. Frampton really impressed me and he could probably hold his own on guitar vs. Trower imo.
