Au contraire, mon ami.

I wrote it because I wanted to let posters here know that even though I am not a liberal like Simon, I think he had a beautiful voice and I enjoyed his music until he sang at the DNC.

I saw him on Jools Holland recently. Jools does not allow any electronic pitch correction on his show and Paul sounded like shite. Happens to all of them eventually.

To the 3 people who downvoted this, I forgot to mention I already posted several times on the PT board that back in the 60s and early 70s I was a left winger and a member of SDS so your crap about me being scared of being a liberal is just that.......crap!

I didn't downvote you but I don't see the connection between someone's politics and their singing voice.

A lot of people on both sides of the isle will not say anything good about a performer who is on the opposite side of the isle than them.

I just want to make it clear it isn't politics that is the reason why I said Simon sucked at the DNC.

Thanks to all of the other people who posted honestly in this thread that Simon DID suck at the DNC.

caught him at this year's Jazz Fest. His voice started off in bad form, but after the first three songs he was fine for the rest of the set. Agree that he sounded bad at the convention, but he may not have warmed up his vocal cords, and that song is something he should not be trying any longer.
And, I'm still a fricking card carrying liberal

His Jazz Fest show was horrid. Took off after a few songs.
