Ozzy at the Fairgrounds on Airline - 40 years ago!!!

Pissed at myself for missing the anniversary by one day. It was actually 40 years ago yesterday. March 5th, 1983.
This show has been discussed at length many times on this board, including by myself and a couple of other regulars (tigermeat!!
), so I won’t go into all the details again. Just posting this to mark the anniversary and to let all my fellow MBers that were there know that we’re getting frickin’ OLD!!!

My mom always told a story about when she was a teenager, she and a friend went to see a band playing outside downtown. While they were standing there, this weird arse guy in a bathrobe came and stood by them to watch the show. Apparently, it was Ozzy. They were a couple of hicks from Baker, so they were freaked about and left.

When was she a teeneager? Black Sabbath played Independence Hall, which was downtown, in 1971.
