I’m sure this has been discussed, but I suck at the search function and not up to speed on the some of these programs., I would like to be able to down load a bunch of songs or playlist to have on my phone when I am fishing with limited cell service.

Which service is best for cost and music availability.

I use Spotify for this. Have paid for it for years. Download my playlists for just such occasions (beach etc).

Yeah I use Spotify too. You have to make a playlist, then download for offline use.

I’m pretty sure every streaming service does this now. As far as cost I imagine Spotify is the best.

If you already have an Amazon prime subscription you get access to Amazon music app, and I’m pretty sure you can download there too, but basic Amazon music’s library is more limited compared to Spotify from my past experience. However I haven’t used Amazon music in years.

You don't need to make a playlist to download. You can download individual albums, songs, playlists...pretty much everything.

Spotify has the best user interface that I've tried. It's not perfect but it works very well.

You can always go back to using mp3s/mp4s ripped from cds or downloaded from itunes or youtube to mp3 sites on itunes and build playlists yourself. That’s the old school way to do it, and I still use it for riding in my car, but I have thousands of songs in my itunes and dozens of different playlists ranging from motown to ska to metal, country, blues, funk, jazz, punk, prog, folk, all things between, and all combinations of genres thereof.
