The Flamig Lips show was incredible yesterday. Ive seen them twice before at Hangout, and somehow this last time was one of the best Hangout experiences yet.

I was pulled into seeing St Pauli and the broken bones instead of zedd or avet bros. I am not dissapoint. They put on a hell of a show and might be my favorite.

black keys, killers, and gary clark were all pretty boring
queens of the stone age and flaming lips were the two best acts I saw of the fest.

I only went Saturday night and all Sunday. I would've liked to see a good bit of bands Friday and Saturday.

that set was the best show i've ever seen. visually it was stunning and creative.
sonically, they were on as a band and the crowd was really into it. the david bowie heroes cover and the lucy and the sky with diamonds cover to close it out were both stellar. wish I could've seen the dark side of the moon set. heard it was great.
ETA: did anyone hear about the person that died in the MVA friday night?

They finally caught on yesterday (security) and were smelling everyone's suntan lotion. I saw them confiscate a few bottles on the way in. Security was really luck of the draw. Guy I was with got a flask in just in the bottom of his bag. They didn't even check it.

security was pretty loose from what I saw. easy to sneak in stuff. I saw one guy getting beaten up by the police friday. guess he was THAT idiot.
