As I had hoped.

I was a little disappointed upon first listen…thought it was ok but not comparable to their last 2. That said, it gets better with each listen.

I don’t think it’ll ever be better than the last 2, but it’s still very enjoyable.

I’m really enjoying it. It definitely won’t top Lost in the Dream for me. Not sure where it will slot in next to their other three albums.

It is definitely their most polished, clean sounding album. I miss the psychedelic, shoegaze elements, but it is still great songwriting.

Title track is probably my favorite so far.

War on Drugs fans may enjoy this article. Top 30 War on Drugs ranked. I don’t agree with everything obviously, as I’m sure no one will, but it’s a good read.

I escaped for an old man slow run yesterday and put it on. Perfect. It's definitely growing on me. I agree with Loudermilk that if you love an album the first listen, then the artist probably isn't doing anything new. I'm not sure that applies completely here but something to the theory.

This Tiny Desk Concert shows how tight they are. Really impressive live performance.

Pretty good ranking. Really shows how much of a behemoth Lost in the Dream was.

Kinda random but the title track from I Don’t Live Here Anymore gives me serious M83 - Kim and Jessie vibes

My biggest disagreement with the list was Red Eyes at 12. I think Red Eyes is the best song of the past ten years from any artist. 1-2 on the list (Under the Pressure and Ocean in Between the Waves) would be the two songs rounding out my WoD top three though. Eyes to the Wind would be in the running for number 4 on that list too.

Personally I’d put eyes to the wind at #1

But red eyes is such an ear worm that I could easily put it at the top.

Those 4 songs are something else man

I'd put Pain at number 1.

I like making lists, so I was going to post my top 10 War on Drugs songs in this thread, but I just couldn’t settle on a list. Too many great songs that I couldn’t leave out.
