New The War on Drugs album and single
New album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, will be released on October 29.

First single, Living Proof, is out now.

It was definitely slower than I expected for a lead single. It wasn’t a Red Eyes or Holding On.

Steven Hyden (prominent music critic and big WoD fan) tweeted the below today though, so sounds like the album should be pretty great.

I was fortunate to get an early preview and for now I'll just say it's already by far the 2021 record I've played the most. Absolutely laden with bangers.

I agree. I think it’s simply a teaser. Reminds me of their early albums (Wagon Wheel Blues) where he sounded just like Bob Dylan.

Well, the first song released for a deeper understanding was an 11 minute slow burner (thinking of a place) so I don’t think WOD is too worried about traditional practices or how slow their first single release is.
