Why do some bands like Radiohead and Pearl Jam never get held accountable for bad albums while groups like U2 get crucified?
They both get constantly hammered for not remaking The Bends and Ten over and over again though.

Maybe PJ, but Radiohead?
In Rainbows, Hail to the Thief, and Amnesiac were all critically acclaimed- and rightfully so. OK Computer and Kid A are listed as some of the greatest albums ever - once again rightfully so.

No, as much as I'd love another TOOL album, until I actually hear it, I just don't believe it will ever happen.
Yeah, I guess the fact that the band has said multiple times they are currently working on a new album and Danny, Justin, and Adam have been in the studio constantly doesn't mean shite...

I've been hearing about this new album for 3 years now and nothing. Plus they were/are in some sort of legal battle.
So, no the fact that they are "working" on new stuff is meaningless untill I actually hear it.
They did a small tour out west earlier this year and did not play a single new song other than a King Krimson cover.

I'm sure Scott Tenorman is thrilled.

None of which came from anyone affiliated with the band, all speculation from fans.

Still are

Again, the BAND has confirmed they are... Even Maynard has said they are and to quit blaming him for delays because he can't do shite until the others wrap up their part.
Blair has even mentioned the writing process numerous times in his bullshite newsletters and mentioned they are revamping the loft in preparation of actually recording.

And your point?

Christ dude, calm the frick down.
I want new TOOL as much as anybody, but I'm just not holding my breath.
Again, I'll believe it when I hear it. Sorry you find that so offensive.
And you even said it, his BS newsletters. Those things are so cryptic and FOS, sometimes I wonder if he isn't just making shite up while he's high.
Also, "revamping the loft in preparation for recording" tells me that they are still not close to actually recording anything.

Christ dude, you're the one that said you didn't think it was ever going to happen... Just pointing out that ALL of the info out there contradicts your line of thinking.

Lotus Flower and Bloom live are so much better than the studio version. Also, they have an app called Polyfauna that has trippy computer landscapes and short, obscure music clips. It's a little too Thom for me but it is exciting that it's being updated.
