Live from Austin, Tx is one of the best albums of all-time since Patsy Cline.
Why wasn't she more famous?
Everyone falls all over Adele but this lady was killing it 10 years ago.

Fox Confessor Brings the Flood is a near perfect album. I've seen Neko Case a bunch of times, and she's a fantastic live act if you can make it. Though I do think she's used best in the New Pornographers because AC Newman is a genius songwriter and he uses her voice like a weapon.

Well that's the thing.
I never considered her a "country act" (and hell half of country is just pop today with a slide guitar) - but Neko Case is a great vocalist...I just considered her a vocalist like Adele is.
If Case had broke through on one of those stupid shows - America Talent or Idol, she would be huge.
She's one of the best talents in a long time and for the most part, everyone is going to miss her.

I think she's the best singer live I've ever heard...and I've heard a lot over the years.

It's really good, I especially like John Saw that Number.
Honestly, I like Furnace Room Lullaby a little more. It has a very different flavor - strongly alt country with hints of her punk background. And The Virginian is fun too.
She's one of my favorites for sure.
