Extremely talented composer, pianist and performing artist. One of two great singer/songwriters of the 1960s/70s named Neil, the other being Neil Young.

One of the few to have #1 hits over 10 years apart. He encouraged Carol King, gave ABBA Ring Ring, and made Captain and Tennille a thing.

Stairway To Heaven. That's the song by Neil Sedaka that first caught my attention. It's my favorite "Stairway To Heaven", better than even the O'Jays.
