Yup! I'm glad he's finally getting the attention he deserves. He writes incredible songs, and he keeps it positive in a world full of negativity. I've seen him the last two times he came to NOLA, but I don't think I'll be able to hit any of his upcoming shows unfortunately. Too much going on, but I am going to try.

He's ripping off Allen Toussaint in a big way, and I for one think that's a GREAT thing.

He's been very open how he was raised on NOLA Jazz. You can hear a ton of AT and DrJ in much of his music. I think this is a big reason for his success here, because 2 of his upcoming 3 shows are sold out. I don't think he has this type of following yet across the country.
