the absolute best musician alive today from tennessee is valerie june, though she has only 1 album out ... girl can sing/play any type of music, from gospel to soul to bluegrass ...

I'd be more concerned if Texas didn't have more, considering it's sizeable population advantage over Alabama.

Simmer down cowboy. "Despite all that" means besides the large number of prominent names to come out of Texas, it's still meh. And I know you won't grasp that because you're from there.

texas has a larger number of great musicians, but alabama ain't 'puny' ...

i'd be willing to bet you don't know half the great musicians from texas ...
