So here is the deal

I'm working out of town and I left my guitar back at home that I'll be getting the next time I fly back

I'll be in an apartment and don't feel like bringing my amplifier with me and don't want to bring my acoustic because of noise

Is there some sort of device that would allow me to just plug in my headphones and play without the need to bring my amp? Something with a few different DSP effects preferably but doesn't have to be too fancy. I'm trying not to bring too many big items because I have to drive all of this stuff back eventually.

Appears I'm a moron. Apparently a lot of these effects pedals come with a headphone jack. Didn't know because I haven't had one for a while and never used one like that.

Please feel free to down vote and request I be permabanned

IRig?

I believe you plug into it and the app has a lot of effects options. Can’t remember cost though. Not going to be cheaper than earphones into a pedal. Lol

I don't own any apple products otherwise this might work

I already have a pretty decent set of sennheiser headphones I brought with me. Would just need the pedal to plug it into and of course grab my guitar. Unless I feel like adding another one to the collection

What are the 3 knobs for? Volume, gain, and pitch?

I have my own idiotic question

anyone used a drum machine pedal? (just for kicks, not playing out or anything). Are any better than others? not worth it?

That's what I came to recommend. I have it and I use it almost daily since I had my kid and can't jam loud at night anymore. It's awesome and it has an audio input jack so you can put a drum loop or song in and play with it.

Sounds like the winner. Simpler that iRig. And cheaper. That thing is one night of staying home and drinking beer from my fridge. Lol
