This song was almost completely ruined by radio station editing...

I can understand purging words with overtly sexual lyrics, but the hatchet job done upon Jefferson Airplane's "Miracles" destroyed the sublime melody flow of the song... and in my opinion kept it from public consideration as one of the greatest love songs of all time.

HERE is how it's supposed to flow:

Then there was this hatchet job that defies all explanation....

I'm not much of a Don Henley fan... he's way too self-important for me... but "Heart of the Matter" was my favorite song of his, and radio stations left out a key bridge verse that once again ruined its flow. I mean, who could possibly find offense with THIS?:

I'm learning to live without you now
But I miss you sometimes
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again

Are you sure they were edited b/c of content? Both songs clock in at over 5:30, I wonder if they were just cut down to fit in that magic 3-4 minute window radio loves

In Frank Zappa's Let's Make the Water Turn Black off of the album We're Only in it for the Money they edited this line:

quote:

And I still remember Mama with her apron & her pad
Feeding all the boys at Ed's Cafe!

for the Brittish release because they thought that the line was about a feminine hygiene product. Pretty lame.

Heard a song on the radio the other day that had a verse from Wayne on it. It was seriously the worst thing I've ever heard in my life because MAYBE every third word was UNedited. Why the hell would you even release that as a single? The song might have been great (probably not), but you sure couldn't tell from the radio edits.
