I could easily argue that most Mumford and Sons songs sound the same. With that in mind, you'd probably love reggae.

What's ironic about that? I can name several bands similar to Mumford and Sons, but they are far from identical or complete rip-offs of them. Of Monsters and Men for example. Could see them doing a tour together, and fans of either liking the other.
Reggae as a GENRE, key word there, sounds very similar. Was calling out a guy for making a comment like that when he didn't have to. He could have chose to not comment in the thread at all instead of chiming in that he'll "stick to reggae". I avoid rap threads because I don't like the music and it's my opinion. I could easily go in a Lil Wayne thread and say "I'll stick to blues", but I don't do that because I'll respect their taste. I made my comment about reggae because he made a post that wasn't needed.
And yes, a lot of Mumford and Sons songs sound very similar, and that's because of the way they do their vocals. I am aware of it.

Giving this a listen now, seem to be a few cats on here into Mumford and sons and I heard one song by them ever.

I see what you are saying, but that's not what I'm saying. I've heard several Mumford and Sons songs and can't distinguish one from the other. I can't put a finger on exactly what it is, but yeah, their songs seem to stick to the same formula.

How so? They both use a bit of folk roots. A lot of harmonizing. Not a terrible comparison at all.

I'm on my iPad so no idea what somebody commented. They harmonize sure, a ton of bands do but OM&M are heavy on the drums and Mumford and Sons are, yeah., not. They also are heavy heavy on the folk influence. Some country too. OM&M have folk influence but you couldn't really see any country from their album. I mean I've jammed OM&M since the first day their EP came out and their whole album has gotten more rotation on my iPod than any other album since it came out. I tweeted a few months back about how the chick singer has one of the sexiest voices ever. I love them. But M&S are much more raw. They don't edit their voices. More similar to The Head and the Heart, Avett Bros or even Josh Ritter. I just think their are a ton of better comparisons. Thanks for the link though bc I've never seen those live sessions.

eh...to an extent, but some groups always sound the same (which can get tiresome)
I enjoy bands that push hard in new directions
which can make each song/album much more refreshing
