this is some of the dumbest shite i've ever read

it's pandering

quote:

This one's for the IRS, in bed with the damn politicians
And this one's for the boss, the hoss, who wouldn't let you off to go fishin'
And to the bulls and the bears on Wall Street, takin' you and me to the cleaner's
Man it's stuff like that that makes me wish I had more middle fingers
Let 'em fly in the sky, get 'em all up high in the air
Let 'em flip like you don't give a rip, like your mama ain't there
I could use a few for the dude in the suit who cut me off in his brand new Beamer
Man, it's stuff like that that made me wish I had more middle fingers
Hey, gimme one for the haters of The Son, yeah, the one in the hippie sandals
Yeah, and how 'bout one for the lack of respect for Mr. Jack and Charlie Daniels
If you don't salute the troops and the red, white, and blue collar cold beer drinkers
Well, it's folks like that that make me wish I had more middle fingers
Let 'em fly in the sky, get 'em all up high in the air
Let 'em flip like you don't give a rip, like your mama ain't there
I could use a few for the dude in the suit who cut me off in his brand new Beamer
Man, it's stuff like that that made me wish I had more middle fingers
If you hate this song and you think it's wrong, for what it's worth
My crowd'd be proud to turn you up a little Free Bird
Let 'em fly in the sky, get 'em all up high in the air
Let 'em flip like you don't give a shite, like your mama ain't there
Let 'em fly in the sky, get 'em all up high in the air
Let 'em flip like you don't give a rip, like your mama ain't there
I could use a few for the fat cats blowin' the roof off the bullshite meter
Man, it's stuff like that that makes me wish I had more middle fingers
Yeah, it's stuff like that that makes me wish I had more middle fingers
More middle fingers

Pandering. All of it.

Take a drunk girl home was on the radio on the way to work. That dude is white knighting so hard, not to mention so cringeworthy.

On a related note though, I do like Justin Moore's stuff, like Bed of My Chevy and One Dirt Road. Definitely digs deep into the cliches that alot of newer "country" does but I've always liked most of his stuff anyway. Really like his cover of Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home.

Thank you for posting the lyrics. I love to see just how bad some of this shite is, but in no way do I want to support them by giving them clicks.

Justin Moore's exaggerated twang is just as annoying as Brantley Gilbert's affliction shirts and wallet chains.

quote:

We can pop a top on a bottle of boons
Have a front row seat to a big full moon
Kick back and listen to the crickets in the field
Find a star we can call our own
Watch the lightning bugs 'till they're gone
Light a fire of passion and lay real still
In the bed of my Chevy on the out skirts of town
We can dance standin' up or lay a blanket down
I can show you how much I love you if you'll let me
Make a memory we'll never forget
Whisper little words I've never said
I'll pull you close when it gets hot and heavy
In the bed of my Chevy
Baby slide off your boots down to your bare feet
Those cut offs and tan lines are killin' me
Move on over lay your head on my shoulder we'll stay a while
Still a little kiss as the whiperwills,
Sing to the trees with a southern feel
We can sit on the tailgate and wait 'till it feels right.
In the bed of my Chevy on the out skirts of town
We can dance standin' up, or lay a blanket down
I can show you how much I love you if you'll let me
Make a memory we'll never forget
Whisper little words I've never said
I'll pull you close when it gets hot and heavy
In the bed of my Chevy
In the bed of my Chevy on the out skirts of town
We can dance standin' up, or lay a blanket down
I can show you how much I love you if you'll let me
Make a memory we'll never forget
Whisper little words I've never said
I'll pull you close when it gets hot and heavy
In the bed of my Chevy
In the bed of my Chevy

Songwriters: Jeremy Stover / Justin Moore

quote:

I know where I'm going
When I'm done here on this earth
God's building me a mansion
Where none of us will hurt
I'll see ol' St. Peter
Swing wide those pearly gates
I don't mean to sound ungrateful
But God I hope and pray
There's just one dirt road
That takes me back to a honey hole
A hundred year old white oak tree
Layin' shade on me
Pickin' blackberries off the vine
A Bobwhite whistling out through the pines
I can't wait to walk those streets of gold
But give me just one dirt road
Hang up mama's clothesline
Between those two pine trees
Lay some round bales in a hay field
And a bridge across the creek
Let it wind past that white church
Where I gave my soul to you
And dead end at Granny's house
Amen I'm through
I hope there's just one dirt road
That takes me back to a honey hole
A hundred year old White Oak tree
Layin' shade on me
Pickin' blackberries off the vine
A Bobwhite whistling out through the pines
I can't wait to walk those streets of gold
But give me just one dirt road
Just one dirt road
That takes me back to a honey hole
A hundred year old White Oak tree
Layin' shade on me
Pickin' blackberries off the vine
A Bobwhite whistling out through the pines
I can't wait to walk those streets of gold
But give me just one dirt road
Just one ol' dirt road

Songwriters: Jeremy Stover / Jamie Paulin / Justin Moore

looks like he got some songwriting credit but he likely had little to do with writing any of these songs.

That song above is an abomination.
