Up until this morning I wasn't aware this place existed. The new Chelsea's isn't ready in time so they moved this weekend's Hobo Johnson concert to the Ballroom.

Anyone ever been? The place looks tiny

Not a fan of his music. Great venue. Should be a prime people watching opportunity, almost worth the price of admission just for that.

Yeah we bought tickets months ago and I kept wondering if Chelsea's was gonna be ready in time. They hadn't even acknowledged the show until this morning when they announced it was moving

Mic city ballroom is a nice venue but doesn’t have a bar so it’s BYOB.

What's the biggest act you've seen play there?

Hobo isn't famous by mainstream standards, but two years ago he played Voodoo and then the House of Blues immediately after. And he's only gotten bigger since then.

Guess I'm bringing bourbon to the show lol

I saw BJ Barham from American Aquarium play an acoustic set there a few years ago. Cool place, really small.

There might've been 100 to 125 people maybe at last night's show. Hobo killed it!

I now I'm a big fan of BYOB venues lol

I’m a fan too. I always have beer in the fridge and bourbon in the cabinet so it’s never a problem for me to pack enough for a few drinks. It’s cheaper and you don’t have to deal with wasting time at a crowded bar. The BYOB venues also seem to attract more tolerable crowds.

I still enjoy going to traditional bar venues, but the BYOB venues can be great.
