Mr. Roboto.
Saw Styx in concert about 10 years ago. The one song everyone around me kept screaming for was Mr Roboto (which they never played). It’s kind of ironic considering that song and that album led to the demise of the band. Everyone hated it, but now they scream for it.

Murder By Death - Spring Break 1899
Not only is it a fantastic song, but it's a segue between two fantastic concept albums.

The Moody Blues' "Days of Future Past" has been described as a suite of songs about the common man.

Skating Away (On the Thin Ice of a New Day) - Jethro Tull - originally on A Passion Play which was pretty badly overlooked.
Thick as a Brick (title song on same album) has held up really well.
The Live at Leeds version of Tommy is better than the studio album IMO, though I like both.
For me, The Real Me off of Quadrophenia is the pinnacle of Rock and Roll. Fantastic song.

And the sandcastle virtues are all swept away
In the tidal destruction the moral melee
The elastic retreat rings the close of play
As the last wave uncovers the newfangled way

Zen Arcade tells the story of a young boy who runs away from an unfulfilling home life, only to find the world outside is even worse.
