I admit. Until about two years ago I did not. Not really. She was just the woman from the Julia Roberts chick flick. Singing “Something to Talk About”.

Bonnie Raitt in 1972 doing a radio concert with Lowell George, John Hammond, Freebo. Can't Find My Way Home - fantastic performance. The song takes over 2:00 to start but I enjoy that part too.

I was lucky enough to catch her at Jazz Fest in the early 80's. It was a small stage with maybe 50 people in the audience. She really impressed me though I didn't know much about her at the time.

Now we're talking.

I saw Bonnie play in 1974. The opening act was Little Feat and was Bonnie's band after playing their set. I only wish I had known Feat's catalog better at the time.

Bonnie played a Strat, so did Lowell George that night.

Awesome. I introduced a couple people to Little Feat just last weekend. I was born a little late for all that, so also knew Bonnie mainly for "Lets Give em something to talk about" until YouTube came along. She had a much better voice then I realized.

Sorry to bump my own thread, but just saw this poster on the Traces of Texas facebook page and thought you might like it. Think it's from that tour when they came to Houston.
