Just got back from crash site. About 1000 people out there today. A memorial marker was put up today. Judy VZ, Melody VZ, Steve Gaines daughter was out there. Judy had a nice speech. Along with crash survivors, families, and fans from all over the country. Alaska, New Jersey, Oregon to name a few. Special treat to all you fans if you ever get the chance...

Artimus Pyle was on Chris Jericho's podcast recently and went into detail about the crash. It was honestly incredible to listen to.

The podcast is "Talk is Jericho" and it's the Oct. 18th episode.

Haven't a lot of his stories about the crash been debunked by other band members/crash survivors?

I seem to remember at one time he claimed Cassie died in his arms, and Gary claimed that was all BS.

That was Billy Powell who said that, but later retracted it when others called him out. Artymus is just plain nuts and is not liked anymore by Gary, Gene, etc. Gary said at one point that Artymus did not go for help and that he was just running around like a wild man, hurt and came upon that farm(something like that), but to Arts credit he did go for help and probably does deserve a lot of credit for assistance in the first responders.

I don't remember Billy retracting the lie, just saying he wouldn't talk about it anymore. Do you have a link to the retraction?

Correct....his story changes every time he tells it.
