Let's Talk Babymetal

While watching reaction videos last weekend I stumbled across a band called Babymetal. If uninformed they are 3 teenage J-Pop girls that sing and perform with a backing band. The band is a combination of Power Metal, Speed Metal and other genres. The premise is ridiculous but it is catchy as frick. Just wondered what others on here think of them. They have been polarizing in the Metal World from all I have read. Some love them others hate them.

I thought the same thing but the good band behind them made me listen. Then next thing you know it started making sense. It kind of reminds me of the 1st time I heard Nightwish many years ago. Mixing Opera and Metal sounded stupid but really worked. Go give some other songs a try, most metal sites have them rated pretty highly.

While the band itself rocks, I find it weird. Even weirder, though, is that they're on the new RHCP tour as the opening act.

Japanese pop culture comes up with weirdest stuff. Although I kind of get the appeal of this as opposed to other Japanese stuff people have shown me (usually just pure WTF).
