I actually think it’s not good at all, but I also don’t like R&B music. Big disappointment IMO.

Finally getting to listen to this. He’s going for an early mid 70s vibe but doesn’t pull it off by injecting too much modern r&b to hedge his bet.

Kind of figured he'd have a bit of a sophomore slump. He only started playing music a few years before his debut album.
That said, there are a few really good songs on it, but overall I agree it's kind of just mediocre. I dig his 60's soul music sound much better, but respect him for exploring new sounds.

I actually really like it. Definitely a departure from his debut...more jazzy on a lot of tracks (e.g. Bad Bad News). "Mrs" sounds like a ripoff of Gravity by John Mayer. All in all I think it's pretty sold.

Bad Bad News is a fantastic song and I like a couple others but the album is really disappointing to me. It’s just meh

I don't know how I missed this guy because this is my absolute favorite kind of music. I went right to his first album since that seems to be the better of the two based on the few comments here and I think it is absolutely fantastic. I ordered the vinyl right away. Going through this then will listen to his new album.
