I a huge Texas, Red Dirt, Alt country fan but I just don't see the following for him. Can't get into it at all.

Yep, I love Texas music but cant get into this group but I'm not the target demographic. I'm not even sure its Red Dirt other than him being from Stephenville.
The 15 to 20 year old Texas kids seem to really dig him.
The most popular song about when he got arrested is terrible, but I don't fault his fans. The young kids need someone they can connect with that doesn't give a damn, and he is that for a lot of Texas kids.

I didn’t know he was from Stephenville. The ville is my hometown and now I’m ashamed to learn it’s his too.
